Featherhoof Learning Center, Inc.

Tucked against the forested hills on the edge of the Oregon Coast Range outside Willamina, Oregon, Featherhoof Learning Center is a small family farm offering charming and unique on-farm experiences.

Through hands-on agriculture, animal encounters, nature exploration, and seasonal programs, children and families are invited to slow down, learn something new, and reconnect with the land.

Every experience is thoughtfully created by the owner, a licensed agricultural educator, to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for farming and the natural world.

Agricultural environments provide authentic opportunities for children to:

  • Experience Wonder

  • Develop Responsibility

  • Solve Problems

  • Exercise Creativity

  • Build Confidence

  • Develop Agency

  • Practice Stewardship

  • Contribute Meaningfully

Through interactions with animals, plants, natural systems, tools, projects, and people, learners engage with the world in ways that are increasingly difficult to replicate elsewhere.
